Florists Review tip of the week

Apr 24, 2017

Customized Gifts for Mom

Mother’s Day (May 14) is just a few weeks away, so, if you haven’t done so already, it’s time to plan your designs, create your marketing materials and do your advance prep work. During this latter step, consider adding some custom elements to your vessels to increase the charm factor. Glue on some faux jewels as medallions, or trim with stylish bands of ribbon. You could also follow the lead of designer Ann Jordan, AIFD, AAF, MMFD, who trimmed this footed container with bands of yarn and a square of brocade-like paper adhered with decoupage glue/sealer. The simple treatment adds a bit of extra zest to a pretty pot.
