A WIN for ‘Alison Bradley’
While we were snowed in, news reached us from the spring show in Breezand in The Netherlands.  The ‘man on the spot’ was Piet van Kampen and he was filming beautiful displays of Tulips, Iris, Muscari, Hyacinth, Daffodils, Fritillaria and even Calla in a live stream on Facebook.  As he wandered around focusing on some very special flowers he zoomed in on a display of Tulip ‘Alison Bradley’.  Our editor was watching the live stream and, when Piet realised that she was online, he said “Oh and the winner of the first prize is the ‘Alison Bradley’ Tulip!”  Initially Alison thought that he was joking but  he was serious.
We are delighted to report that the snow is slowly melting but there is still a warm glow here because our beautiful Tulip won.

We send congratulations to the grower and our grateful thanks to Piet for sharing the news!

They will be transitioning all of their other markets, communications, web pages, social media accounts and everything else over to this new look. They hope the process will be completed before the wedding season of 2018.

Along with the new logo and new look, Alexandra Farms have some new varieties available for 2018's wedding season.
