Silk Floral Design Class

Silk Floral Design

Maximum 8 students  2016

Overview

This class will allow you to bring your favorite vessel from home to the classroom to fill with permanent silk materials.  We will select these silk flowers at the local wholesaler, Baisch & Skinner.  You will purchase these materials at my wholesale cost.  We will spend up to 2 hours shopping for your materials and supplies.  You are able to purchase anything at the wholesaler, no returns or exchanges on materials.
After we return to the classroom your design will be constructed thru the afternoon.

Objectives

You will design with silk flowers and execute new design techniques.

One example of what can be created in this design class.  This design is located in an open entry just beside a stair case.
This design has as inner liner that can be removed to add a holiday design, and a spring design.

These designs were place in open ledges to be seen in the dinning area and the hearthside kitchen.  They mirrored each other so you saw the same selection of material in each room as you view it above.
