California allows flower shipments

Lavender Arrangement
Corona Virus and the floral business

Dear Christina,

I would like to give you a brief update on things here at Florabundance. We are shipping flowers nationwide overnight via FedEx and GSO. Your box of flowers will be left at your door - no signature required.

I'm sharing with you part of the California Flower Growers & shippers email that went out.

The floral industry is considered "essential" and allowed to continue to operate - employees need to adhere to keeping social distance from one another. Flower farmers can continue to operate and Retail Florists can stay open with curbside and delivery services - again keeping a social distance from each other. Some have become very creative with sales and deliveries.
Please read our Governor's explanation page to the Department of Homeland Security Infrastructure designation.
Since it in unclear how long the coronavirus will continue to impact our state, we must treat important agriculture service industries with long-term goals in mind.

Governor Gavin Newsom and members of White House administration have stressed the responsibility employees have to continue important operations provided by industries considered essential. Food and Agricultural businesses, including cut flowers, are included under this status and exemptions for their employees to come to work are allowed.
"We know the Stay at Home Order in California presents some confusion and challenges for both employers and employees", said CSFA EVP Ann Quinn. "We are so thankful for the people who are continuing to serve the citizens of the state and country. We want to assure people that the California floral industry will continue to do our part".
At Florabundance the safety of our employees and customers is our top priority. We have limited our on hand staff and some are working remotely from home, but we are still shipping flowers daily! Our warehouse/office hours are currently 8am -  2pm and we are available by email almost anytime of the day.
Here is what you should know:
Because we are surrounded by many great  flower farms we pick up flowers as needed. We are able to get locally grown flowers like we have been offering and the weather is great, so more local production is coming on. We just ask for your continued support to place orders of any size and please be flexible with substitutions if we have to make any. Let's hope things get better sooner rather than later and remember we ship FedEx and GSO in California. No signature required and we can ship to a home address if your business is closed.

We have posted this note on our website:  and please follow our daily messages on Instagram.

We are still shipping fresh flowers nationwide overnight via Fedex Priority. Please be aware: due to disruptions as a result of controlling the COVID-19 virus spread, our cut flower availability may vary at time of shipping. We will contact you via email if your order is affected. If you have any questions, please email info@florabundance.com or your floral consultant directly. If you know of someone who is looking to source flowers please forward this news letter.
