Flower Classroom & Florists Review tip of the week

Help customers honor veterans

img2

With Veterans Day coming up next Monday, why not make it easier for your customers to honor those who have served our country. Many want to convey their thanks but may not know a veteran personally.

Consider “adopting” a local veterans hospital, VFW hall, or senior center or nursing home with a large population of veterans. As an “upsell” with every purchase or customer visit this week, offer the opportunity to purchase a small arrangement that you will deliver in their name on Monday. Create a sample or two for the cooler. A large card or poster board can be left out for customers to sign with good wishes, as well.

Arrangements can be used to brighten up common areas, or with enough orders, you can deliver to each veteran.

These same arrangements can be made available for purchase for customers who have friends and relatives who have served in the armed forces to whom they’d like to deliver personally.
