flower classroom new location

Hello flower classroom followers!!

I have moved the classroom to a new location!!!

Professional Building
10280 W. 64th st.  suite 102B
Shawnee Mission, Kansas  66203
(just west of I-35 on Shawnee Mission Parkway & Bluejacket)

Exciting news & space for floral design classes.  The space is larger….ground level, with parking outside the front door.  Right now they are beginning to  preparing the room and at the end of July I will start putting the room together again.  The move went great with all the tables and shelves on wheels…

I will have a little time for a quick vacation( Yeah!!) and then begin setting everything into place.  I appreciate your patience with not having classes this month but the fall line up has some exciting things planned.  I hope to see you all soon in the new floral classes this fall.

As always you can reach me by email: flowerclassroom@gmail.com  or by phone  913-708-2988.

Sincerely,
Christina Burton-Fox  AIFD
teacher & designer

I was sad to leave the Hobbs Building, a very creative & artistic vibe, the eclectic artist's in the building I met over the 2 years I was there.  But I am super excited about the new space we will be in!!  Thank you Hobbs Building, where it all began.

Pantone Fashion Color Report for Fall 2014 - Weddings & Events

Bat & Bar Mitzvahs & Events

After an inspiring Fashion Week here in New York, Pantone has announced its’ Fashion Color Report for Fall 2014. The colors for the fall are decidedly bold, yet soft, with shades of purple (Radiant Orchid made the cut yet again!), blue, yellow and red in the mix. This palette is an excellent and fun one to turn to for bar & bat mitzvah and wedding inspiration.
2014 Color Trends Pantone (Fall) | Color Trend ReportSangria
Sangria Pink Wedding & Party Theme IdeasOne of Pantone’s top colors for Fall 2014 is Sangria, a bold hue that combines the sultriness of purple with a pop of red that is pure fun and celebration. Depending the route you go, we love the idea of accenting Sangria with even bolder shades like berry reds and deeper purples, or toning it down with creams and pastel greens and purples.
Cobalt Blue
Another beautiful shade in the collection is Bright Cobalt, an exciting and fun blue perfect for a spring or summer celebration. Similar to sangria, we love the idea of amping up the brightness of the cobalt with shades of pink or orange, but also think accenting the cobalt with soft grays and silvers would be beautiful, too.
And the Color of the Year for 2014: Radiant Orchid:
